2026- Community Projects for Less Waste

This round will open at 11 May 2026 (NZST) for submissions.

Funding for Less Waste rounds support projects that increase the range, scale, and number of waste elimination activities on the Kāpiti Coast.

Note: Community Project grant applications can be for any amount up to $50,000 maximum. For community project applications up to $2,000 the new year-round Small Community Project grant will be quicker to apply for and receive funding decisions.

How to apply

While we prefer online applications via the SmartyGrants platform, hard copies will also be accepted.

To hardcopy apply:

  • Complete the online application form
  • Download the form, and send it back to us at:
    • WasteMinimisation.Kapiti@kapiticoast.govt.nz
    • Post: KCDC 175 Rimu Road, Paraparaumu 5032, New Zealand

If this is your first time using the online system, you will need to create an account. This will allow you to save your draft application and complete it at a time that suits you. It will also allow you to track all your previous submissions.
